Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me??

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. Thomas Jefferson Interesting quote from an ex president and so long ago too. How fitting it is in todays society! Today's video is from my home country, New Zealand. It is the winner from a tourism competition to make an ad that promotes the country from 2009 I think or 2010, who cares! It is called Working Day and was written & directed by Andres Borghi (Argentina).

Say hello to my little friend......

If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude.

A cool short film on offer today.  It is called Defaced and is by Lorcan Finnegan, located on Vimeo.
It explores the relationship between art and coporate advertising in a public space.

When is grafitti grafitti?  When someone pays for it, it then stops being graffiti or what?  Something to mull over anyway.

Crazy.....

Teahupoo at its finest.  This wave is so thick it's scary!!  I came across this video on Vimeo and thought it deserved it's own post as I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was watching it..  Here's what Vimeo user "unfuzzy" wrote about it.
"This day at Teahupoo- Aug 27th 2011 during the Billabong Pro waiting period is what many are calling the biggest and gnarliest Teahupoo ever ridden. Chris Bryan was fortunate enough to be there working for Billabong on a day that will go down in the history of big wave surfing. The French Navy labeled this day a double code red prohibiting and threatening to arrest anyone that entered the water.
Kelly Slater described the day by saying "witnessing this was a draining feeling being terrified for other people's lives all day long, it's life or death. Letting go of that rope one time can change your life and not many people will ever experience that in their life."
All images where shot by Chris Bryan using the Phantom HD Gold camera. To see more of Chris' work check out his website. WWW.CHRISBRYANFILMS.COM

It puts the lotion in the basket......

Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.

Today's video is stunning!  It is called The Mountain and is by TSO Photography on Vimeo.  The goal was to capture the Milky Way and the mountain known as El Teide.  You can see a Sahara sandstorm roll through at 00:32.  The creator says the following:

This was filmed between 4th and 11th April 2011. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide.
Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories.

Here's something else I found the other day.  It's a little blurb to illustrate just how fucked up our little planet  is!! How does stuff like this even happen?
